Rheinmetall Driver Training Simulator Leopard 2 – DTS

Rheinmetall - The DTS of Rheinmetall is used to train drivers of the Main Battle Tank (MBT) Leopard 1 A5 and the Armoured Infantry Vehicle (AIFV) CV 9030N in a synthetic environment on simulated road and cross-country terrain. There is also a special emphasis on snow and ice driving, for which it is difficult and dangerous to train with real tanks. The DTS comprises for each type of vehicle two training stations which include a replica drivers cabin with the original interior and a motion system with six degrees of freedom to simulate the real driving behaviour.

The Peruvian Air Force (Spanish: Fuerza Aérea del Perú, FAP) is the branch of the Peruvian Armed Forces tasked with defending the nation and its interests through the use of air power. The stagnation of the Peruvian economy during the late 1980s and early 1990s forced cost reductions and the downsizing of the fleet size.
